God Protects His Children (we)

We don’t want you to cry anymore. It hurts and grieves us so.

We want you to be happy. There’s something you should know.

Just before it happened, we were filled with warmth and love.

We were safely whisked away to a tender place above.

We felt no pain. We did not suffer and we truly weren't afraid.

You see, our spirits went home early, though our physical bodies stayed.

Some things we cannot fathom nor begin to comprehend.

“God protects His children, even at the end.”

We don’t want you to cry anymore. It hurts and grieves us so.

We want you to be happy. There’s something you should know.

Just before it happened, the music soothed our ears.

We were safely whisked away and relieved of all our fears.

Just before it happened, we were eased and bathed in light.

We were safely whisked away and told that all would be all right.

We felt no pain. We did not suffer and we truly weren't afraid.

You see, our spirits went home early, though our physical bodies stayed.

Some things we cannot fathom nor begin to comprehend.

“God protects His children even at the end.”
