remedies for the spirit

By Design
Who am I to question my Creator, the Divine,
Who wove me in His tapestry with love and by design.
Who wove me in with purpose, intention and with care;
Particularly placed, important that I’m there.
Too small is my perspective to determine on my own
The value of my thread in the masterpiece He’s sewn.
Dark days you will not take me, for God will not forsake me.
Dark nights you will not end me, for God will always mend me.
Who am I to question my creator, the Divine,
Who wove me in His tapestry with love and by design.
Who wove me in with purpose, intention and with care;
Particularly placed, important that I’m there.
Too low is my awareness to determine on my own
The measure of my thread in the masterpiece He’s sewn.
Dark days you will not take me, for God will not forsake me.
Dark nights you will not end me, for God will always mend me.

Help Another, Help Yourself
Sometimes the pain’s unbearable, too much, too great, too vast.
We feel our spirit slipping and we fear we may not last.
“When you feel like giving up and no longer wish to try,
Help another, help yourself. On this truth you can rely.”
Sometimes we feel it’s hopeless and there’s no use going on.
It all seems rather pointless when all happiness is gone.
“When you feel like you have nothing and no longer wish to try,
Give another, give yourself. On this truth you can rely.”
Sometimes we feel abandoned, like no one seems to care,
Deserted and forsaken, cast out by our despair.
“When you feel you’re all alone and no longer wish to try,
Reach another, reach yourself. On this truth you can rely.”
Sometimes we lose perspective when depression clouds our view.
We’re not sure how to save ourselves. We don’t know what to do.
“When you feel like giving up and no longer wish to try,
Help another, help yourself. On this truth you can rely.”

Making Progress
It’s not defined by what we have - a stately house, a fancy car.
Material things don’t mark our strides or judge just where we are.
It’s not defined by who we’re with - the ideal partner, the perfect mate.
Only spirit measures growth and determines at what rate.
When nothing seems to change and time keeps rolling by,
Remember we’re evolving, though unseen by the naked eye.
Our souls are always moving toward the place we’re supposed to be.
We are always making progress - where it matters, internally.
It’s not defined by the job we have, if we’re famous or renowned.
It’s not our physical achievements that decide if we’ve gained ground.
It’s not defined by worldly travels, where we’re going, where we’ve been.
It’s not the outside or external - it’s the steps we take within.
When nothing seems to change and time keeps rolling by,
Remember we’re evolving, though unseen by the naked eye.
Our souls are always moving toward the place we’re supposed to be.
We are always making progress - where it matters, internally.

Stay
Everyone was there. You’d be surprised if you only knew
How many cheered your birth, cheered your courage and blessed you through.
Love is who you are. Love is infinite and love is strong.
You are valued. You are special. You are worthy. You belong.
Your life is too important. You must go on and persevere.
No other can fulfill your purpose. There’s a reason you are here.
Stand tall upon your struggles. You are stronger than you know.
Life can’t keep you down because it’s programmed to ebb and flow.
Love is who you are. Love is infinite and love is strong.
You are valued. You are special. You are worthy. You belong.
God is always there. You’d be surprised if you only knew
How much He cheers your life, cheers your courage, and helps you through.

I Bless (Love)
I bless my body and my soul. I bless my joy. I bless my pain.
I bless my friends and enemies. I bless my loss. I bless my gain.
I bless my water and my food. I bless my lungs. I bless my air.
I bless my mood of apathy. I bless my heart. I bless my care.
I bless the medicine I take. I bless my sick. I bless my well.
I bless my crazy and my sane. I bless my heaven and my hell.
I bless the conscious and unconscious of all I manifest.
As I learn to align with Love, I bless my worst. I bless my best.
I bless the journeys that I walk. I bless my sky. I bless my ground.
I bless my darkness and my light. I bless my lost. I bless my found.
I bless emotions that I feel. I bless my thoughts. I bless my mind.
I bless my good and my mistakes. I bless my sight. I bless my blind.
I bless beliefs that I believe. I bless my fear. I bless my brave.
I bless the love I chose not to give and the love I freely gave.
I bless the conscious and unconscious of all I manifest.
As I learn to align with Love, I bless my worst. I bless my best.

See Yourself As God Does
How brave a soul must be to leave a love as He,
To flourish and to grow, sharing all they come to know.
He prays when we are homesick, when our hearts are blue.
He whispers, “Take my hand, for I will see you through.”
See yourself as God does when life becomes too hard,
Respected and admired, held in high regard.
How brave a soul must be, to leave a love as He,
To study and to learn, sharing all on their return.
He prays when we are homesick, when our hearts are blue.
He whispers, “I am here and I will see you through.”
See yourself as God does when saddened and depressed,
One of just a chosen few, fortunate and blessed.
How brave a soul must be to leave a love as He,
To persevere and live sharing all that they can give.
He prays when we are homesick, when our hearts are blue.
He whispers, “It’s okay, for I will see you through.”
See yourself as God does when hope is hard to find,
A teacher and a hero to those who stayed behind.

Play
Remember to play in your play. Act with a heart that is light.
Remind yourself it’s a drama you wrote. “Places.” Enter stage right.
Life is a play and a safety net. You cannot falter or fail.
Good actors convince themselves it’s real under the curtain veil.
Play with a meta- awareness that your acting will earn applause.
So good is your acting in life that you forget you are the cause.
Forgiveness and letting go. There’s no fault and no one to blame.
Your thoughts and beliefs write your script. You cast them and gave them fame.
Bring unconditional love to everything you create.
Never lament or judge. There’s only growth to appreciate.
Remember to play in your play as you embrace, trust and allow.
Remind yourself love transcends all things, then smile and take a bow.
