Proud

Updated: Nov 26, 2023

You don’t need a cap and gown nor accolades from a crowd.

Your Father knows your journey and will assure you He is proud.

You don’t need a piece of paper, a fancy pen nor song and dance.

His rewards will not be fleeting like pomp and circumstance.

God’s grace will overwhelm you.  You will know it at the door.

You will tell Him that you love Him.  He’ll respond, “I love you more.”

He celebrates every moment His child walks courageously.

He praises every step, cherished child of eternity.

You don’t need to sound the trumpets nor a bright and sunny day.

Your Father knows your sacrifice and struggle on the way.

You don’t need a piece of paper, a fancy pen nor song and dance.

His rewards will not be fleeting like pomp and circumstance.

God’s grace will overwhelm you.  You will know it at the door.

You will tell Him that you love Him.  He’ll respond, “I love you more.”

He congratulates every moment His child walks faithfully.

He honors every step, cherished child of divinity.
