TODAY

Let the healing begin.  Let the good guys win, today, rain or shine.

            Let the fear disappear.  Let love make it clear, today, all is fine.

Let fences be mended.  Let foe be friended, today, warm or cold.

            Let the wrong be made right.  Let dark come to light, today, truth be told.

Let compassion be shown.  Let none be alone, today, still or breeze.

            Let goodwill be conveyed.  Let peace be what’s prayed, today, rest at ease.

Let the doubt be ignored.  Let faith be restored, today, soon or late.

            Let each breath be sublime.  Let now be the time, today, celebrate.

Let the joyfulness daze.  Let voices speak praise, today, moon or star.

            Let innocence be spared.  Let kindness be shared, today, where we are.

Let there be no delay.  Let hearts lead the way, today, cloud or sun.

            Let forgiveness command.  Let grace sweep the land, today, we are one.
