As We Evolve

The challenge is to still the mind; a different road to walk and find.

As we calm and be, clarity flows free.

The ego’s always ready to take an active role

When assaulted by another, justice is its goal.

Defenses raised and ready, a reflex to react;

A need to win and punish, vengeance to exact.

The old ways of the ego no longer are effective.

We seek, as we evolve, other paths with new perspective.

The ego stirs the waters and muddies what is clear,

Preventing true reflection and the answers we hold dear.

The challenge is to still the mind; a different road to walk and find.
