My Heart To Calm

I don’t always understand what You are trying to say.

My mind doesn’t always grasp the message You wish to convey.

But my heart feels Your love and compassion and that is all I need

To know You are always there, to comfort, support and lead.

When my mind is confused and worried, God works with my heart to calm

With feelings He uses to say “All is well within my palm.”

Sometimes I haven’t a clue and stay completely in the dark.

On occasion I think I read the signs then clearly miss the mark.

But my heart feels Your tenderness, Your patience and Your grace

Assuring You’ll always be with me no matter what I will face.
