Hard Times

Hard times to teach one gratitude for family, friends, and health;

Hard times to count one’s blessings redefining wealth.

Hard times to touch the spirit, hoping it will see

The truth within the words, “the best in life is free.”

A need to feel God’s blessings in a wise and worthy way

Like helping those with less, bestowed in one more day.

Hard times to teach one gratitude for family, friends, and health;

Hard times to count one’s blessings redefining wealth.

Hard times to touch the spirit, hoping it will see

The truth within the words, “the best in life is free.”

A need to feel God’s blessings in a wise and worthy way

Like time with those you love, bestowed in one more day.
